We had some wonderful actors come Friday night. We could really start to see the show come alive. Don't forget to tell your friends about auditioning. We've added an audition time--Thursday, September 28 from 6-9 p.m.

We hit our Kickstarter Goal! Thanks to everyone who backed us. It was so great to see the support roll in. With only 4 hours to go, we still had almost $2,000 left to raise. I got on the phone and called just about everyone I know. People started responding. Someone from Colorado, someone from Texas, someone from Michigan. Well, actually a lot of someones from Michigan. And then we had only $145 left to meet our goal and I caught someone just about to start their dinner. They said, "Before we sit down, I'm going to my computer right now and take care of this."
It was so cool to be sitting at my computer and see the total jump to $10,005. They gave more than the $145. It was a well-rounded $150 for good measure. Then, as you can see, $385 more came in before the time was up. It's been a wonder-filled process. Thanks to you we are on our way! My best, Don P.S. Folks can still contribute backing by sending your donation by check right to Hart Entertainment at 804 Phoenix Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48108. We're doing it, folks. Join us to bring it over the finish line. To back our project, go to:http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1312998160/one-sleepy-night

Thanks for all of your support. ![]() Here's an email that just went out to announce our upcoming Kickstarter launch. One Sleepy Night Coming This December! And you can help it happen. Here's how... Dear Friends: I'm writing to let you know of a project that I'm working on. Actually, in one way or another, I've been working on it for about 30 years. I wrote the play One Sleepy NIght and performed it to packed houses that long ago. Since then, I've developed it further by writing music with a partner, Jay Sappington. You can find out more about this new musical version at www.onesleepynight.com. In order to bring it to the stage, we need support--volunteers, audience members and backing through the Kickstarter we're doing to raise funds. Kickstarter is a crowd-sourcing initiative for creative projects. It's a way to raise support and in return, backers receive rewards. On Friday, August 2, I'll be launching the Kickstarter campaign. You'll find this campaign at www.kickstarter.com under One Sleepy Night. This effort only lasts for 30 days so if you want to be involved, we welcome your early participation. And please, if you feel it's appropriate, tell your friends and share it on Facebook. I'll be sending out announcements about progress on the show once or twice a month until we open in December. Please read and respond with your thoughts. And if you don't want to receive these emails, you can unsubscribe below. We look forward to bringing this wonderful experience to the stage in December so that individuals and families will experience the gift of love that came One Sleepy Night. My best, Don |
